chicken pox @ 30

You read it right... I thought I wouldn't have it anymore but I just did. Today is my 6th day already.

In our family, it was only my youngest brother who had it when we were younger. Mom told us that we had vaccines for it so I am not afraid that I might acquire it. I had many instances when I stayed with several individuals who had the disease and yet I didn't acquire it... until now. I guess I am really 'tumatanda' na and my immune system is not that strong na rin.

What I hated was when I went to the hospital, one doctor told me not to stay near the other patients because they might get infected as well. Hello?! I looked at her only and moved out of her table. Good thing, the doctor who actually checked on me was okay. He was too shy to look at my back, so he was contented when I showed him the one that was growing on my legs. He gave me medication, Ancyclovir which I took 4x a day. So far, I don't have too many blisters. The big ones were the first ones that appeared while the rest looked more like mosquito bites lang.

Now my problem is how to remove the scars on my face.  I have two to three big ones that I cannot hide. Tomorrow, I'll go to the doctor again for my follow up check-up.

ps...
I wasn't able to kiss and hug G on Valentine's day... i'll make bawi soon
