cooking 101
One of the first things that a person should learn is to cook. Everyone eats and need to eat. Before I got married, my dad used to tell me that I should learn to cook first. He doesn't want that my future MIL would make an issue if I can't feed his soon. Through the years that I stayed home (this was after college), my dad patiently taught me cooking 101. He'd tell me the procedure on which ingredients to put in or what to do with it, then later he'd taste test if I did it correctly. At first, it was always a failure. Either the food is too salty or too bland, either it burnt or not-cooked at all. I also had several disasters in the kitchen that when I looked back at it now, I just feel too stupid doing it... After several trial and error situations, I finally managed to perfect simple Filipino dishes. Now, my husband has been gaining weight ever since we got married
Lately, I've been addicted to cooking shows on tv that I wanted to enroll in a culinary school. I wanted to try baking cakes and cookies this time. I wanted that in the future when I have kids, I can make cakes on their birthdays or cookies for their snacks. I've been searching for culinary schools, particularly one that offers pastry school, that I can afford to pay. Tuition fee is quite steep so I should find the best one for me, and one which is within my budget. Seaching for the chef school was easier when I found Culinary School Finder. It has lists of the best culinary schools in the area.
I'm so excited! Finally, I can whip up a recipe that I've only seen on cookbooks and tv soon... hmnnn.... I have to fix my schedule. I now have cooking and IT training for summer.
