One of the best things about weddings is the gifts that the couple received. We had our shares of gifts on our special day too. We had all sorts of gifts from gold banded dinnerware to bedroom items to electric appliances and even some pieces of furniture. Most of these items are still kept in my bedroom at my parents’ home. We haven’t touched most of it since we haven’t moved to our house yet. I plan to have it transported in our place before this year ends.

Looking back, I wished that there was already a Bridal Registry in the province so that I could have made a list of the things that I wanted in our home. I would have requested for sterling silver frames where we can put some of our pictures or I would have included silver plated flatware too. But since it is still not practiced, I have to do with several double items. Still, I believe that it's the thought that counts. At least the people gave something useful that can remind us of the people that cared for us.
