The question of the week is:

Share with everyone the fondest memory you have of you and your family.

There are many occasions that I would say as my fondest memory. Every year, it starts with the birthday of my grandfather which is on New Year. Every since I can remember, we would always look forward to this day because this is the time when we would all gather and be reunited again. This is our reunion and we always make sure that we have pictures to remember it. As I browse our family album, I would see the changes physically. Lately, there has been many changes since some of us, the grandchildren, have already started moving and working on other countries. There are less and less of us every year already... plus the fact that our maternal grandmother has passed away a couple of years ago already. After New Year, there would be the graduation then Holy Week then 'Undas'. The next event will already be the Christmas Celebration again.

Despite these different occasions that I don't want to miss, its the Sunday mass that I have the fondest memory of. We are 5 children all in all. As of this writing, we have the age range of 25 to 31. Despite this age, whenever we are all at home, we still go to mass together. Dad would wake us up early so that we can catch the 8am mass in a nearby chapel. We would all go and sit together, now we bring our spouses (and our niece) with us. As one big family, we worship the Lord together. During the Our Father, you would see us all holding hands as we praise and glorify God. During the 'Peace be with you', it will take us sometime after we get to kiss and greet everyone. At the end of the mass, we would all make 'mano' to our parents... after the mass, if we haven't eaten rice for breakfast yet, we'd all go to and dine out for late breakfast.

This is something that I love about my family, which I seldom see in other families. No matter how old we are already, we still value our Sunday mass together... this is something that I am really proud of... and this is my fondest memory of my family.
