'me' time
I have a group which I am friends with more than 17 years already. We are 10 in the group but ever since we had our own families already, we seldom get to see each other again. As of this moment, there are 4 of us who are within/near Manila. Rochelle lives in Taguig, Yeng is in Sta. Mesa while Alma is in Nichols. The last time we were together was October last year during Rochelle's wedding. Finally, we decided that we should meet and just hang out. The day was last Saturday...
We agreed to meet at MOA at around 11am. As usual, I was again late (ganun po talaga, pag galing sa probinsya :p). I was convincing G kasi to come with me (or he could just follow in the afternoon). Ayaw ba naman! Ang daming reasons... so I went alone na lang. We met in front of Starbucks, before 12. Good thing, there were lesser crowd that time. We ordered our lunch first before starting our chika. Grabe, when we started na, parang time went so fast already. We had to move to another shop so that we can sit comfortably while talking pa rin. Since we have a preggy mom with us, we were not able to window shop (sayang!) but still it was really fun. We had a lot of catching up that we didn't notice the time. We went to three different shops para lang hindi mahalata kadaldalan namin. By 6 pm, we had to say goodbye already since it is getting late. Rochelle is still not that familiar with her route that is why she needs to go home early. I got home at around 8pm with dinner waiting for me...
Finally, I was able to share my angst (lalim ah!) about my life now with people that I can truly trust
. I am really relieved every time I can share what I am feeling. In fairness, I wasn't the 'bangka' this time. We hope to meet again soon, maybe after a couple of months again...
Due to so much talking, I wasn't able to take our picture together... except for one (which I'll post later)...
