coffee break 1.24
I totally forgot about this week's Coffee Break. Sorry Jan But thanks to Rocks because I saw her reply while I was browsing through her site
This week's question is something I can totally relate to.
The question: How has the internet made wonders to your social life?
Honestly, since I moved here in Laguna, I seldom have a 'real' social life. If this means meeting new people, going out with friends, interacting with other individuals. My day starts and ends with just me and the computer. I totally love weekends because this is the only time that I can talk with G and sometimes, go out to the mall.
For me, internet has made great wonders in terms of my social life. I was able to meet new friends. I am able to interact with these people anytime (as long as they are online and there is an internet connection). I can share my life as much as they share their life with me. Since I also belong to several yahoogroups, I learn a lot more from co-members. Simple questions like changing surnames to pregnancy tips to home management and even a choice between xbox 360 or PSP, are answered not just by one but many other individuals. In addition, it is also through the internet that I found support group. This is especially true when we were still on our TTC stage. I never felt alone because I knew that there were also other couples out there just like us. As G calls it, we have 'ka-federation' out there. Lastly, the internet has been my constant companion whenever I feel alone. It kept me sane while waiting for G to come home.
